Dear President Macapagal Arroyo,
As you are aware, our delegation has

of political activists.
We are, thus very pleased to hear the
words of your Press Secretary, Mr. Ignacio R. Bunye, which welcome
our investigation.
Pursuant this welcoming message, we
would like to request a meeting with you in order to discuss the points
of pride Mr. Bunye refers to
with regard to the human rights record in the Philippines.
As part of our investigation we would,

as well as potential solutions to this problem.
We are available to meet at your convenience
