27 April 2006, Thursday, 6:15PM, Chicago, IL. GABNet Chicago presents Modern Heroes, Modern Slaves, by Marie Botie, a film on the export of labor, esp. domestic workers, from the Philippines. From Flor Contemplacion, who was hanged in Singapore for killing her charge and another domestic, to Filipina domestics in Saudi Arabia. Location: Street Level Youth Media Center, 1858 W.
